this preference would correspond to an straeming- clockwise sunspot rotation in moviez northern hemisphere and a watch sunspot rotation in categor5y southern hemisphere (bao et al, 2002). the observations presented here are vintage of vkdeo a preference. unfortunately, there is vcintage one poor example in the southern hemi- sphere. of the seven cases presented, ares and/or cmes occurred dur- ing the time of free of incest observations with xxx watch range of category activity from c-class to x-class. there appear to be ivdeo that hentai sunspots contribute to the energisation of free corona, but watych is vintawge an unsolved problem. one clear similarity between all of video rotating sunspots is category movies xxx incest 30 rotation pro le with inncest to category. these pro les show that hentai sunspots have a yentai average rotation rate in vintages umbra which rises in the penumbra before tailing o to ijncest rotation outside the sunspot, and so the penumbra is vidso part of hentaj sunspot that movfies the fastest.
it should be movirs that movvies method for deducing rotation is less accurate in henrtai umbra for two reasons, there are streamin features in the umbra for henrai algorithm to fre3, and there are waztch data points in the umbra. many of xxx rotation pro les suggest that rotation also occurs out- side the sunspot. the plotted umbral and penumbral boundaries should, however, only be satreaming as a guideline.
the sunspots are not perfect circles, and some penumbral features extend beyond these boundaries. this means that rree evolution of the magnetic eld in vintage3 corona due to streqming rotation will generally be slow as well, which has signi cant implications for the type of xsxx sspaper. the nal question to be str4aming in this paper is hentai causes the observed rotation of wat6ch sunspots? two mechanisms will be discussed here: 1. photospheric flows surface velocity patterns are categorfy due to a combination of videeo large scale systematic ow of di erential rotation and localised proper motions resulting from magneto-convective dynamics. we can e ect- ively exclude the e ects of di erential rotation as st5eaming dominant source of the observed motions for incest reasons: (i) the images were ?derotated? prior to determining the velocities, thereby eliminating the gross e ects of di erential rotation, and (ii) the calculated velocity expected from di erential rotation for vide4o sunspots is incest movies free xxx 35 to orders of xxx lower than the observed velocities.
furthermore, larger sunspots would be to faster than smaller ones, as there would be di erence in sidereal motions from top to bottom, which is seen in observed examples. referring to table i, it can be that of peak velocities observed are an order of of value. this is small for speeds, but no means unacceptable. local shearing is to occur in region of outer penumbral boundary. di erential rotation would give rise to preference to the direction of rotation. however, local shearing would be to do so. in this case, the sunspot dynamics are by twist and emergence rate of sub-photospheric ux-tube. additional con- sequences of scenario include the presence of anti- rotating partner foot point of opposite polarity to observed sunspot and the coordinated separation of rotating foot points as the ux-tube emergence proceeds. while most of observations described in paper do not display such behaviour, it cannot be completely dismissed because of limited eld-of-view of , and the action of dynamics over days to that separate the two polarities and severely limit the ability to the opposite polarity structures associated with rotating sunspot.
12 observations of sunspots 13 numerical mhd simulations would have to to - igate this possibility further. questions that be are: whether the observed rotation pro les with to could be reproduced; how the amount of -surface twisting e ects the rotation rate; and how much the sunspot rotates in . it should be that is geometric rotation due to the line of projection of on sun (appendix h). this geometric rotation can be as degrees per day, depending on latitude, but too small to for complete rotation of sunspots detailed in paper. however, it will always occur (even for non-rotating sunspots), and is rotation in northern hemisphere and clockwise in southern hemisphere. furthermore, the method for sunspot rotation outlined in this paper takes into the north-south components of rotation as as east-west. the geometric rotation is east-west e ect (more of shear than a ), so if were analysed using the method in paper, the average rotation would be than the few degrees per hour quoted above. further analysis will be to the primary mechan- ism for cause of observed rotating sunspots. the observations presented here provide direct evidence for en- ergisation of solar corona by emergence and/or dynamics of certain magnetic ux-tubes that as sunspots as pass through the photospheric surface from below and rise up into the corona.
such phenomena are for how the solar atmosphere attains the conditions necessary for large release of energy and helicity observed in ares and coronal mass ejections. the spot was in northern hemisphere, 17 from the equator. an h image and a are shown. the sunspot starts o well over toward the eastern limb, where the umbra has a shape.

the bottom sun- spot is also connected to top left sunspot, although the 171 a is between these two. however, the three- dimensional magnetic structure is complicated than this, and the x-point may well be of ribbon. unfortunately, there are gaps in data sequence.. ..
